YEAR 11 STUDENTS EXCEED EXPECTATIONS IN THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE IGCSE TEST

Our Year 11 students obtain, once again, excellent results in the IGCSE tests. Yesterday, 11th February, we received the results of the IGCSE English Language exam which our Year 11 students took in October 2020.

They have broken a record obtaining the best results ever that we have had in the history of the school in the subject of English Language. 20% of Year 11 students obtained the highest mark, a mark of 9, 29% a mark of 8, while 17% obtained a mark of 7. Almost 50% of the students obtained very high marks. This shows that they have an outstanding level in this subject. These results are even more astonishing if we take into account that the mother tongue of the 99% of our students in Year 11 is Spanish and that the vast majority of students taking these exams around the world are native English speakers.

We are very proud of them and their work. Congratulations to all the students and their teachers!

The IGCSE corresponds to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education and is recognised throughout the world. The British National Curriculum and (I) GCSE are designed to work hand in hand and meet the needs of all students.
