IPC BRAINWAVES TOPIC

Mr Cross came to visit year three as part of their IPC Brainwaves topic to talk to them about how he learnt rockclimbing. The Brainwaves topic deals with how we learn new knowledge and skills and deepen our understanding of subjects. Mr Cross showed the pupils how to use his climbing equipment and talked about how he has and continues to research new knowledge and practices his skills to get better and deepen his understanding of his sport. He also talked about some of the IPC Personal Goals such as communication, enquiry, adaptability, resilience and co-operation. He also reflected on the international scale of his favourite sport. Year 3 really enjoyed having Mr Cross visit and it has inspired them to think differently about their learning.
