EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN CASTELLÓN

Language Academy: English, French and Chinese

At British School Vila-real, we recognise the importance of languages in an increasingly globalised world. In addition to the English classes which form part of our curriculum, we offer extra-curricular language activities, including French and Chinese, so that students can extend their language skills. These classes are available for all ages and levels of ability, and are taught by native or highly qualified teachers. Learning a new language not only enriches cultural knowledge, but also improves cognitive and communication skills.

Sports

Sport is a fundamental part of our students’ physical and emotional development. Through our sporting activities, we encourage teamwork, discipline and respect, while promoting a healthy lifestyle. We have modern facilities that allow students to train in a safe and professional environment. In addition, our sports teams participate in local and regional competitions, offering students the opportunity to represent the school and improve their competitive skills.

Dance and Drama

For those students who are artistically inclined, our dance and drama classes offer them a space to express themselves creatively and develop communication skills and self-confidence. In our dance classes, students can learn everything from classical ballet to contemporary styles. In theatre, students participate in plays and performances, learning to work as a team and manage emotions on stage. These activities are perfect for developing creativity, body control and public speaking skills.

Music School

Music is one of the most enriching forms of artistic expression. At our Music School, students have the opportunity to learn to play various instruments such as piano, guitar, violin or drums, under the tutelage of expert teachers. Music not only improves coordination and concentration, it also provides an emotional and creative outlet for students. Throughout the year, we organise concerts and recitals where students can showcase their progress and share their talent with the school community.

Robotics

Robotics is one of the most innovative extracurricular activities we offer in Castellón. Through this activity, students develop skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), while learning to design, build and programme robots. This activity encourages logical thinking, problem solving and creativity, preparing students for the technological future. Our students also have the opportunity to participate in robotics competitions, allowing them to apply their knowledge in a collaborative environment.

Remedial and remedial classes

Some students may need extra support in certain subjects, so we offer revision and remedial classes as part of our after-school activities. These classes are designed to help students improve their academic performance in subjects such as Maths, English, Science and other areas where they may need reinforcement. Classes are taught in small groups, which allows for personalised attention adapted to the needs of each student.
