Javier Alcarria, former student, gives a talk at BSV

Last 4th October, Javier Alcarria, former student of Laude British School of Vila-real (Castellón) visited our school to give a talk about ‘Academic and Sports Scholarships in the USA’.

Javier shared with our Secondary and Sixth Form students his own experience having studied in the USA with a scholarship. He explained how the process is, step by step, to obtain an academic or sports scholarship in the United States, as well as the great range of universities that offer these types of scholarships and to whom they are aimed.

After his studies at BSV, Alcarria graduated in Business Administration and Sports Management (Double Major) at Barton College Wilson (North Carolina) in the United States. Currently, he is the founder and CEO of Odisea Sports Management L.L.C., a company dedicated to helping young student athletes so that they can study in the USA with a scholarship.

After his speech, Javier Alcarria answered all the doubts and questions that our students raised and he encouraged them to work hard and pursue their dreams.

We are sure that our students enjoyed and learned a lot with this great initiative and we hope it will help them with their decision about what to do after finishing their studies at Laude BSV.

From Laude BSV we want to thank Javier Alcarria, as well as Aída Alcarria and Juan Belmonte, former BSV students who accompanied Javier during this talk, for having reserved a little of their time and proving, once again, that learning has no limits.
